Hosting is an important piece of your online presence and not all hosting is created equal. The downside of hosting with a cheap provider is that if at any point you require a backup or roll back of your website, it’s not always possible or requires a large fee. Hosting fees will also often increase dramatically in subsequent years. These hosting plans will place your website on a server with thousands of other websites, which slows down your site speed, affects your ability to rank well on search engines and poses a security risk. I provide Cloudways secure hosting with a maximum of 20 clients on a server at any one time, which boosts your site speed and improves security & SEO.
WordPress is a brilliant platform for your website and is able to run smoothly thanks to plugins that provide security, SEO optimisation, the ability to easily edit your content and take regular backups. However, these plugins are created by independent developers, are regularly changed and need to be updated on your site. If they’re not updated, you may have compromised security which can affect your ability to use your URL for Google Ads, and worst case scenario your website will go down or be hacked.

Hosting
(Included in all care plans)
You are welcome to host your website on your own provider, however I can’t guarantee speed and performance, especially on some of the cheaper hosting services. I include all of the below in all my maintenance plans:
- Hosting on a dedicated private Australian server (shared with a maximum of 20 other clients). Your site will only be sharing a server with regularly maintained & scanned websites, reducing security risks.
- Installation & maintenance of active SSL certificate including real-time security + hack monitoring
- Spam filtering
- SMTP transactional email (to ensure forms & confirmation emails are delivered)
- Daily backups stored in a secure offsite location. This means if you accidentally break your site making changes, we can roll back to the previous day
- Access to agency-level plugin licenses to improve site speed, SEO and make DIY changes easier (worth over $400USD per year)
